Dungeons 2 Enchantments Tier List
Minecraft Dungeons II enchantments tier list: all 34 books ranked by Power Up Gaming, with two other published rankings beside it and the disagreements marked.
How this list is built
There is no combined score on this page. Only one published ranking covers all 34 enchantments, so the tier in the first column is that source’s tier, not an average. Two other rankings cover only part of the list. We show them beside it and mark every enchantment where the sources disagree by two tiers or more.
We have not tested these enchantments ourselves. Enchantments are chosen at the Enchantsmith from books you find, and each has three levels. The last two sections say what each source did and how old its information is.
All enchantments, by source
Tiers run from S (best) down to D. A dash means that source did not rank it. A star means two sources differ by two tiers or more.

“Fits” is the slot given by Power Up Gaming. DungeonsDB lists 32 enchantments in its database, while Power Up counts 34, so the totals do not match. The two counts have not been reconciled.
Where the sources disagree
- Lightning Surge is top tier at Power Up Gaming, A at the MD2 wiki and B at games.gg. DungeonsDB does not rank enchantments, but it says Lightning Surge is the enchantment every top weapon result in its own damage test runs. The games.gg ranking predates launch and rates Lightning Surge as a situational pick.
- Somersault is B at Power Up Gaming and S at the other two. Both of those rank it high because extra dodge rolls pair with effects that trigger on a dodge.
- Healing Smite goes from B to S across the three. Its chance to create a healing circle on a kill rises from 20% to 35% to 50% across its three levels, according to games.gg and the Minecraft Wiki values quoted by DungeonsDB.
- Ender Mines runs from C to A. Frost Crescent runs from C to A.
When sources split like this, the likely reason is not the game but what each one measured or saw. Check the notes below before you spend currency on a book.
Effects that decide most placements
These numbers are from Power Up Gaming’s write-up unless another source is named.
- Lightning Surge: the strongest wave attack, 90% of weapon damage at level 3, on the last hit of a combo and on jump attacks.
- Ancient Alchemy: 60 souls per potion at level 3, stacking across armor. games.gg gives 30, 45 and 60 souls across the three levels.
- Health Synergy: heals 35% of maximum health every time you use an artifact.
- Bottomless Brew: three extra potions at level 3, on a chest piece.
- Swirling: a swirl hitting nearby enemies for 100% of weapon damage at level 3.
What each source did
- Power Up Gaming, 5 October 2026, by Serhii Patskan. An editorial ranking of all 34 enchantments, with the effect of each. No test method is stated. Source
- games.gg. An editorial ranking of the 13 enchantments confirmed before launch. It says it is based on pre-release demo footage and confirmed pre-launch data, and calls itself a launch-week foundation rather than a final word. Some of its names do not match the launch names, so we show only the enchantments whose names match exactly. Source
- Minecraft Dungeons 2 Wiki (minecraftdungeons2wiki.com, “MD2 wiki” above). A provisional launch-week ranking of five enchantments, verified 29 September 2026. It ranks by versatility, survivability and synergy, using Mojang’s own announcements, so its notes describe the effects shown in early previews, not play-testing. Source
- DungeonsDB gives the full list of 32 enchantments with their three levels and the gear each fits, but no tiers for enchantments. Source
These sources are separate: each has a different author and a different approach, and none says it copied another. They are still opinion rankings, not measurements, and none was timed against the launch build.
