Dungeons 2 Talismans: All 24 and the Best Ones

All 24 Minecraft Dungeons II talismans with level 1 to 3 effects, how to get each one, and where DungeonsDB and Maxroll agree and disagree on the best ones.

10/7/2026 launch build Alex Rivera Last updated: 10/7/2026 8 min read

What talismans do

You can wear three talismans at a time and swap them whenever you like. Each has three levels and gains experience as you play, and the strongest effect is at level 3. They have no random effects and no rarities. Most come from quests. Eight are hidden in secret chests and one drops from the Mosstrosity boss.

We have not tested these talismans ourselves. This page puts two published sources side by side: the DungeonsDB talisman page, checked by that site on 5 October 2026, and the Maxroll talisman guide, last updated 29 September 2026.

The best talismans: two sources, two answers

DungeonsDB gives tiers. Maxroll gives recommendation lists rather than tiers, so we show its lists as they are and do not turn them into scores.

Talisman DungeonsDB tier Maxroll
Fist of Iron S Offensive pick, and a leveling pick
Tendrils of the Sprout S Offensive pick
Twisted Tooth S Not in its lists
Glowstone Flask S Loot and utility pick
Thrifty Pendant A Offensive pick, leveling swap and endgame pick
Sigil of Beeswax A Defensive and leveling pick, to be replaced later
Sculk Badge B Not in its lists
Armadillo Amulet Not ranked Defensive and endgame pick
Looter’s Charm Not ranked Endgame and loot pick
Healing Heart Not ranked Defensive pick
The Eye of Experience Not ranked Leveling and utility pick
Medallion of Momentum Not ranked Mobility pick

Both sources recommend Fist of Iron, Tendrils of the Sprout, Thrifty Pendant, Sigil of Beeswax and Glowstone Flask. They split on the rest. DungeonsDB ranks Twisted Tooth in its top tier and Maxroll does not mention it. Maxroll puts Armadillo Amulet and Looter’s Charm in its endgame list, and DungeonsDB does not rank either.

The sources also use different tests. DungeonsDB says its placements come from the loadouts of top builds and its own tier list. Maxroll gives general recommendations for leveling and endgame. Neither lists a method for talismans that we could check against the launch build.

All 24 talismans

Effects are level I, II and III. Where the two sources give different numbers, the row says so below the table.

Wonderful Wheat Summons a wooly wanderer Defeat the Mosstrosity

The “How to get it” column is from Maxroll. DungeonsDB and MetaBot agree there are 24 talismans, eight of them in secret chests, and MetaBot counts 16 from quests. MetaBot says the chest locations are not in the game data, so we cannot add them.

Companions and leveling

Five talismans summon a companion that fights for you and comes back 30 seconds after it is defeated. MetaBot.GG’s game-file data gives their health:

Talisman Companion Health
Golem Kit Iron Golem 220
Wonderful Wheat Llama 135
Tasty Bone Wolf 130
Prickle’s Mark Prickle 115
Wobblestone Wobble 50

Every talisman uses the same leveling curve in MetaBot’s data: 18,480 XP from level 1 to 2 and 73,920 more from level 2 to 3, so 92,400 XP in total. A talisman only gains XP while you wear it, so rotate them to bring all of them to level 3.

Where the sources disagree on numbers

We checked the numbers that differ against a third and fourth source, MetaBot.GG’s talisman table (read from game files, build 1.1.1.0), Beebom (22 September 2026, level I values only) and the database at dungeons2db.com.

  • Amethyst Lens at level III: Maxroll and MetaBot both say ranged damage +25%. DungeonsDB lists +10%, +20%, +35%, the same numbers as Fist of Iron. We use +25%.
  • Essence of Efficiency: Maxroll, MetaBot, Beebom and dungeons2db all say it shortens artifact cooldowns (14% at level III in MetaBot’s data). DungeonsDB’s table words it as extra emeralds, which looks like a mistake on that page.
  • Sculk Badge: MetaBot and Maxroll both give 10%, 15% and 25%. DungeonsDB shows only levels I and II.
  • Healing Heart at level III is still disputed. Maxroll and DungeonsDB say 10% of health per second, MetaBot says 5%. We list 10% from the two that agree, and have not confirmed it in the game.
  • Level counts: Beebom’s list has 17 talismans and dungeons2db’s has 18, both older than the 24 in MetaBot, Maxroll and DungeonsDB. The launch build has 24.
  • MetaBot’s table shows Tendrils of the Sprout at 300% and Thrifty Pendant at 200% in its summary column. Those are raw values that do not match the in-game text of 40% and 50% in the other sources, so we do not use them.

Which three should you wear?

It depends on the build. As a starting point from both sources: a melee build wants Fist of Iron, and a build with plenty of emeralds can add Thrifty Pendant. A soul or artifact build leans on Twisted Tooth and Essence of Efficiency. A potion build gets the most from Glowstone Flask.

For full loadouts, see the best builds guide. To rank weapons yourself, use the tier list maker.
